New Era X Ventile™
New Era's 9FIFTY Retro Crown is a classic snapback cap, but with an unstructured (soft) crown.
Ventile™ is a cotton material originally developed by the Shirley Institute in England during World War II. Pilots then needed a garment that was cool and comfortable in the cockpit, but warm and waterproof if it came into contact with water.
Its unique weaving technique provides a water-repellent material with high wind resistance, good moisture wicking, comfort, and quietness. Its unique weatherproof properties also made the textile a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. Ventile™ was used when Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary became the first to summit Mount Everest in 1953 and later by Sir Ranulph Fiennes when he crossed the Arctic from 1979 – 1982.
Here you get a cap that works just as well for a latte in Løkka as it does in the mountains on a grey day.
