Feil Teater is a theater company. Or perhaps more of a collective. Or a community. Or, the designation is not that important.
We are Feil Teater.
Feil Teater produces innovative and inclusive theatre for all parts of the population. The performances address a wide range of themes, but common to all of them is a light and playful theatrical expression that communicates directly with the audience, and that captivates those who do not usually frequent the theatre. We strive to offer theatre experiences that everyone can afford, and that seek out people where they live – often in places where there is not an extensive theatre offering already. Many of our performances are therefore staged in unconventional locations, such as empty warehouses, backyards, gardens, and apartments. At the same time, we collaborate closely with other cultural actors and theatre institutions across the country. Feil Teater annually performs approximately 300 shows for over 25,000 audience members.
