Feil Teater is a theatre company. Or perhaps more of a collective. Or a community. Or, the designation isn't all that important.
We are Feil Teater.
Feil Teater produces innovative and inclusive theatre for all segments of the population. The performances address a wide range of themes, but common to all of them is their light and playful theatrical expression, which communicates directly with the audience and engages those who don't usually seek out theatre. We strive to offer theatre experiences that everyone can afford, and that reach people where they live – often in places where there isn't an extensive theatre offering already. Many of our performances are therefore staged in unconventional locations, such as empty warehouses, backyards, gardens, and apartments. At the same time, we collaborate closely with other cultural actors and theatre institutions across the country. Feil Teater performs approximately 300 shows annually for over 25,000 audience members.
